Oak Meadow School’s curriculum, from Children’s House through Middle School, is organized into a spiral of studies across math, language, practical life, sensorial, art, geography, history and science. Lessons, given simply and concretely in early years, are reinforced several times over successive years, with increasing degrees of abstraction and difficulty. This differs from traditional curriculum models which tend to offer some subjects only once at a given grade level. Additionally, the Montessori philosophy and concepts are carefully integrated to complement different subject areas.
