Sushmita holds a Bachelors in Architecture from Anna University and a Masters in Architecture from University of Cincinnati. She received her Montessori training certification (AMS Early Childhood 3-6) through the Northeast Montessori Institute. Sushmita formerly volunteered on Oak Meadow’s Board of Trustees and was as a Children’s House Assistant Teacher. Prior to joining Oak Meadow, Sushmita worked as an architectural designer. She loves Oak Meadow for its “collaborative work environments, meaningful connections within the community and its rich learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom and promote self-reflection and empathy.” She currently has two children in Oak Meadow’s Upper Elementary program. Outside of teaching, Sushmita enjoys Ayurvedic cooking and Indian classical music. She is also multilingual, speaking English, Hindi, and Tamil.
