Invention Convention is a STEAM alternative to Science Fair. 3rd grade students begin by looking at innovators who have developed a product to solve a problem. In a team of 2 or 3 students, they brainstorm about different problems they would like to solve. After choosing one for which they will develop solution, they sketch a prototype, make a list of supplies and begin their build. This project incorporates a myriad of skills and shows students that innovation is all about problem-solving!
