We are excited to welcome Yingying Sun to Oak Meadow’s Beginners team as an Assistant! Yingying brings a unique blend of experience in law, advertising, child psychology, and early childhood education to her work with young children.

Yingying holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Peking University in China, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Fitchburg State University. She holds Massachusetts EEC certifications as an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher, Preschool Lead Teacher, and Director 1 & 2. She has also completed teacher training and a child psychology internship at Wellesley College.

Before transitioning to early childhood education, Yingying worked as an advertising planner and licensed attorney in China. Since moving to the United States, she has followed her passion for working with children, gaining experience as an early childhood educator and as a Chinese Language and Culture Teacher at Chelmsford Chinese School.

For Yingying, working with children offers a joyful and meaningful perspective on life. She says, “Being around children brings me so much joy. Their curiosity, innocence, and vibrant energy remind me every day of the beauty and wonder of life.” She is especially excited to deepen her understanding of Montessori philosophy at Oak Meadow and hopes to pursue Montessori teacher training in the future.

Outside of school, Yingying enjoys fishing, swimming, camping, and traveling around the world. She loves exploring new places and experiencing different cultures.
