We are delighted to welcome Jamie McClelland to Oak Meadow’s Children’s House team as a Lead Teacher! Jamie holds an AMS Early Childhood (3–6) credential from the Montessori Institute New England, along with an M.A. in Italian Studies from New York University. She also holds a Massachusetts teaching license for Pre-K–2 with an SEI endorsement and an EEC Lead Teacher credential, and she is currently pursuing Orton-Gillingham training.

Jamie has spent her career in education, with experience in both Montessori private and public charter schools. Her roles have included Lead Teacher, Intervention Teacher, and Director of Enrollment. As the parent of a Montessori-educated daughter, she has also experienced the Montessori journey from a family perspective.

Outside of school, Jamie enjoys reading, running, and traveling. She has completed 10 half marathons, along with countless other races! Born on the Fourth of July, Jamie is one of seven children and brings a love of community and connection to everything she does.

Jamie is especially excited to join Oak Meadow because of its supportive community and its commitment to encouraging continued professional growth. She looks forward to becoming part of the Oak Meadow community and helping Children’s House students thrive!
