Meredith holds a B.A. in American Studies with a Minor in Educational Studies from Bates College, as well as a M.S. in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities Pre K-8) from Simmons College with a MA State Professional Licensure. Prior to joining Oak Meadow in 2015 as a Learning Specialist, she worked as a Learning Skills Specialist (Brookwood School, Manchester-by-the-Sea MA), 3rd Grade Teacher (Brookwood School, Manchester-by-the-Sea MA), 4th Grade Teacher (International School Port of Spain, Westmoorings, Trinidad and Tobago) and a Special Education Teacher for grades 1-5 (Landmark Elementary & Middle School, Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA). She enjoys working at Oak Meadow because “our school rests on the belief that all children have unique strengths and needs. Empowering students through individualized educational programs is a remarkable new take on special education.” Outside of her career, Meredith enjoys swimming on hot summer days, eating ice cream, playing in the backyard with her family and taking her two dogs for walks. She has also lived in Benin, Australia, and Trinidad & Tobago and has traveled to over 20 different countries!
