Test of Emergency Communication System
Before winter weather brings snow and ice to our driving routes, we will run a test of our Emergency Communication System used to communicate school closings and delays. Below is a summary of how the school will communicate this important information.
- If school is delayed or closed, a pop up banner will be posted at the top of the home page on the school website, usually by 6:00am.
- Oak Meadow will send a text message to all subscribers, usually between 6:00 and 6:15am.
NOTE: In order to receive text messages, you must be subscribed to this service. If you are not subscribed, you will receive a text message on Tuesday (see picture ->), please reply Y to subscribe. If you have not received a text message, you can subscribe by texting Y to 67587. - If school is going to be delayed or closed, you will receive an automated voice message on the telephone numbers that the school has on file for you, usually by 6:15am. In the event of an early release, you should receive a voice message from the school by noon.
- All Oak Meadow closings and delays will be shared on Channels 4 (WBZ), 5 (WCVB), and 7 (WHDH).
Everyone will receive the phone call; if you have subscribed (see #2 above) then you should also receive the text message.
